Saying a thing like, oh. Nothing to say, no tongue. Can’t get a breath, mad thump in your head, and you’re open mouthed, dumbfound and saying a thing like, oh. Nothing to say, implode. Jaw hit the floor at the base of the wall, your eyes wide as a bug, too far in the muck to say oh. Nothing to say, move on. Glued in place, shade sliding away, sun beams steam up the stage. Dry mouthed. Say, oh. Ohhhh. Nothing to say, hold on. Silent prayers sent up to God but it’s left unread while you’re panicking. Losing that cool. Burning alive, say ouch. Sizzle now, oh no. Satan awaits a download. Speeding along, yeah! Arms wide out, no slack to return, the pain of days lurk inside of a minute, your words fried down to join the pile of ash. They’re gone. Dwindling to nothing left to think or say or understand while the heat claims your bones, melting all you owned. Separate from one. Nothing to say, all done. No fighting the sunlight. Size the waves. Tidal graves. Wash away all signs. Fossilized, your spirit roams the wasteland that sought to clear your home. You fear the great unknown and pine for what’s sealed under the ice, and visit yourself twice a year. Cryin a bit now, oh. Sshhhh, crying Aloe Vera. No fighting the sunlight. Liberated but still sulking on your knees, speaking wild with no sound to seize, ashamed in your hand’s the axe that choked out the tree. Severed away, tiptoe. Sent with the pain silo. Psychotic rays of pure sunshine. Size the waves. Tidal graves. Wash away all signs. Size the waves. Tidal graves. Wash away all signs. Size the waves. Size the waves. Tidal graves. Wash away all signs.
