Sticky Trap

from RED TAPE by Humans Etcetera

/

about

This song also started on guitar at the Beckley Freedom Skatepark. And also I recorded the drums in my grandma's basement. And And also I recorded the "fake bass" in my apartment in Wenzhou using my acoustic guitar and OC-3 pedal. Then, I recorded the lead guitar with my acoustic and Flashback delay pedal. Then vocals, in my apartment on an sm58. After that, I added the ending sample of frogs, which I recorded in a park in the Ouhai District of Wenzhou after a big meal with some of my students & colleagues for Dragonboat Festival. Then lastly, I recorded extra drums at my friend's music school in Wenzhou.

lyrics

Sticky trap
set for a mouse,
under the Lazy-Susan.
Look what I found down there.
Covered in glue.
Oh my god!
I could try to revive it,
but what's the point?
It will die again
someday.
