Cotton polyester blend, don't shrink on me now. Wow. Woe.
2.
Bastard 02:01
2 little kids went to the farm to pick a carrot out of the ground and give it to their Mom while their Dad was out at the store, getting liquored up and about to sleep out on their porch cuz he locked his keys in a muscle-car. Cocked an eye, looked out in the park. He's afraid of the dark. So he ran home quick, but forgot the time. Divorced for 7 years and his family doesn't want him there. Especially his little kids who went to the farm to pick a carrot out of the ground and give it to their Mom. They take care of her now. They do. Cuz he's a bastard father of 2...

Motionsick 05:06
I'm feeling sick. I fear this is the end. I'm not faking it. I'm really sick. Would you slow down just a bit? I'm not faking it. In this white van back seat puke in my throat. This winding road. My seat-belts unbuckled. and I hold down, hold down, hold down X I hold down but I don't have the muscle.

Breathe 03:21
5.
Free Parking 03:08
I built a Baltic hotel and not a ghost would ring the bell. I had to forfeit all my property, went bankrupt in Monopoly. I have to pave the railroad just to pass the time. Pass it by while I pave the railroad. Just passing go. There's a hole in my shoe, and my top-hat's been through the ringer more than 12 times. It's caked in filth and grime.
6.
Morganhole 03:43
Pick up your legs and get out of my hometown. You can run out of my hometown. Bike tires flat, no pressure. Flag down a cab, yeah right dude. Good thing I broke in these shoes. Pick up your legs and get out of my hometown. You can run out of my hometown. Blink twice and miss all the buses. PRT is always broke down. You'll never get away now. Don't call it a hole. Don't call it. No. Run out, run out, run out for milk and eggs, pick up your legs.
7.
Cough 02:57
8.
Keep Quiet 03:48
I put these stones in my eyes and left some dirt on the shelf, imagined all my surprises were meant for everyone else to work with. All the edges bent and skinned. I admit I won't try. So keep quiet. Stormy line pulled taught as the weather, a starving artist stuffed with clouds, the model's holding it down til she screams to loud to hear it with all the edges bent and skinned. I admit I won't try to plug in when so much noise turned up to find nothing and nowhere. So keep quiet now.
9.
Vibraphone 03:51
Here's a vibraphone and some sweet sounds. When you're nervous, you're nervous, you're nervous, don't be. Here's a vibraphone and some sweet sounds. When you're nervous, you're nervous, well be nervous with me and this vibraphone and it's sweet sounds. You're nervous, you're nervous, you're nervous, don't be. Here's a vibraphone. You can calm down with the sweet sound, the sweet sound the sweet sound of good vibes. Good vibes, good vibes, good vibes good vibes, good vibes take me home.
10.
What I Need 04:45
All these forms and I don't have what I need. She wants more, maybe the blood I bleed. I'm on my knees. Who are you to say what I need I don't have? Hold the key in my sweating hands. My hands. Hands. Hands.
11.
Laptop 05:09
I'm dumb. So done, stick a fork in me. Get these loans that I spent abroad. I do not own any of my thoughts. It's hard to find a high-paying job, so I put my money in a laptop, cuz I'm dumb. So dumb.

about

This is the first ever Humans Etcetera full band LP!

It was the tail-end of March 2015, and I was searching for some commrades to venture out to Baltimore to see Deerhoof. It was on this trip that I was introduced to Takeru. He was an exchange student from Japan, and used to play bass in a couple bands in Tokyo. We talked a lot on the drive there and back, and decided we should jam sometime.

It wasn't until August, when I bumped into Alan (one of my recording tech classmates) at Dollar General while he was buying a gallon of ice cream, that the idea of doing a Humans Etcetera full band came to life. After one rehearsal, we were so stoked that we climbed up into the warehouse and started writing new songs.

On October 26th, we had our first show at 123 Pleasant Street with Twin Foxes and Darklands. It was such a blast, so we kept on practicing, playing out, and writing new songs until this album started to take shape. In April 2016, we recorded Headlining in the same warehouse in which we wrote it.

Afterwards, I shipped off to China to be an ESL teacher, Alan took a programming gig with FedEx in Pittsburgh, and Takeru finished his studies and returned to Tokyo. This album is our commemoration of the 7 months we were together.

Another thanks to all the bands and artists we were lucky enough to share the stage with: The Hurt Ensemble, Crunk Witch, The City and I, Moses Alley, Diarrhea Planet, Pocket Candies, Plattenbau, Rozwell Kid, False Pterodactyl, Bishops, Current State, Culture Thief, Worst Kept Secret, OrVille Rex, What's Missing, After Atlas, Noise, Wax Brain, Beast Friend, Clean Dirty Clean, and Holey Soles (to be exact). And thanks to all of our friends, fans, and family members who supported us, you know who you are, and you fucking rock!
